- The Miami-Dade Economic Advocacy Trust’s Youth Services Division runs youth empowerment, leadership development, and civic engagement programs designed to expose young people to emerging career pathways.
- Miami-Dade County Teen Court, now in its 23rd year, is the largest teen court chapter in Florida and has given more than 8,000 young people a second-chance diversion path instead of a record.
- Miami-Dade County Public Schools’ Summer Youth Internship Program (SYIP) runs July 1 through August 2, 2026, a paid, hands-on introduction to real workplaces.
- Young adults ages 18-24 can get help with education, training, and career goals through the Greater Miami Service Corps.
- Miami Dade College and the Overtown Youth Center signed a 2026 partnership aimed at expanding education and workforce pathways for youth and families.
- For entrepreneurs, MDEAT Pitch Fest 2026 puts up $30,000 in prizes, with the final round at the Sandrell Rivers Theater on September 9.

- The YMCA of South Florida runs afterschool, out-of-school, and summer camp programs in Broward and Miami-Dade aimed at closing the academic achievement gap.
- Through a partnership with the School Board of Broward County, the YMCA’s Youth Development LEAP HIGH program pairs extended learning with college and career readiness, technical skills, and cultural arts.
