South Florida is home to one of the largest Haitian and Caribbean diaspora populations in the United States. Across Miami-Dade, that community has built its own churches, media outlets, businesses, and support organizations, functioning almost like a city within a city. If you or someone you know is part of that community, here are real places to turn for help, culture, and connection.
Direct Services
- Sant La Haitian Neighborhood Center operates a TPS Resource Center with up-to-date guidance on Temporary Protected Status changes, along with broader neighborhood services for the Haitian community.
- Haitian Bridge Alliance (The BRIDGE) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing humanitarian, legal, and social services, with particular focus on Black migrants, the Haitian community, women and girls, and survivors of human rights abuses.
- Fanm Saj is a Haitian-led organization offering healing and wellness services for the Haitian and broader African diaspora community.
Culture and Community
- The Little Haiti Book Festival brings together community champions each year, including Sant La, Family Action Network Movement, KLOTA (Konscious Leaders of Ti Ayiti), HistoryMiami Museum, and Akademi Kreyol Ayisyen, celebrating Haitian literature, art, and language.
- Global Empowerment Mission (GEM), based in Miami, coordinates disaster response and has shipped supplies, food, and medicine to Haiti during crises.
Why We’re Sharing This

We are not affiliated with the organizations above, we are simply pointing you toward people already doing excellent work.
